It is an understatement to say that the world has changed drastically. In these changing times, the need for human connection and community has risen significantly. A community is made up of a cast of colorful characters who can be a pool of inspiration and provide the opportunity to serve and encourage others.
The Haven Yoga & Spiritual Sanctuary's mantras, "Come as You Are" and "Embrace What's Good" are the embodiment of our community-based membership which includes yoga, meditation & breathwork, energy and personal development classes and workshops. As a result, we create space for new friends and acquaintances to share experiences and build stronger bonds within our Simpsonville community.

The ability to shape the course of our lives and others is right at our fingertips. Great communities are thoughtful, not strategic; intentional, not contrived. They are safe "havens" where a menagerie of wonderful people can share their ideas, talents, and dreams. Without collaboration or a wellspring of ideas and improvements, our economy cannot thrive.
The Haven Yoga & Spiritual Sanctuary is committed to its patrons, fellow small business owners and individuals within the community and beyond. Our mission is to build everyone up through the practices of yoga, meditation & breathwork and collaboration with one another.

MEDITATION
Meditation is a powerful tool to deal with stress and anxiety so that you can take back control and focus on achieving your goals.
BREATHWORK
Breathwork is a term for various breathing practices and techniques in which the conscious control of breathing is said to influence a person's mental, emotional or physical state, with a therapeutic effect. Breathwork may be helpful for relaxation and stress in a similar way to meditation.

ENERGY (Reiki) HEALING
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So, Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
SOUND HEALING
Sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit.

Pam's journey of self-reflection and spirituality was ignited on September 11, 2001. A stay-at-home, Wall Street wife and mother of three children, whose life like many that day, was forever changed. She was eventually faced with divorce, bankruptcy and serious health issues - all of which prompted her to turn to yoga, meditation and life-coaching.
Pam received her Master Life Coach Certification from Certified Life Coach Institute in January of 2020. She became a 200 HR Certified Yoga Instructor, a Series 26 and Restorative Certified Instructor. Pam specializes in helping clients of all ages define a clear life purpose, serving as an accountability resource to attain personal growth goals. Her approach is an integrated one for self-discovery - inviting members to participate in yoga, meditation, breathwork and energy practices.
Along with being a life coach, Pam is a full-time Media Strategist & Brand Ambassador in the healthcare industry. She loves traveling, networking and forming alliances that provide opportunities for people to achieve their life goals and dreams.

Her passion is guiding people to tune into the wisdom of their Inner Voice. She believes that Yoga is a beautiful path of re-connecting with the calling of your heart's true desires.
In addition to her RYT500 certification, Andrea has completed training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, holistic health coaching, yin, restorative, intuitive readings, energy healings, and has a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences. She is currently training with Janet Stone for a 1,008 hour certification. When she is not supporting others along their spiritual journeys, you will most likely find her driving her two sons around town, starting a random dance party, hiking, or curled up with a book.

Lisa fell in love with yoga 15 years ago. Showing up for the power poses and lavender towels, she had yet to find the true meaning in her yoga practice. This changed when in 2019 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Faced with uncertainty and fear, Lisa searched to find a sense of ease, well-being, and peace. Her practice deepened as she discovered the therapeutic gifts of yoga that reach beyond the physical benefits.
Lisa completed her 200 RYT training just months after her double mastectomy and consecutive surgeries – testament to the power of yoga and the body-mind connection. Lisa continues her training through experience and discovery and just enrolled in advanced training for yoga for cancer certification.
Known for her creative flows, Lisa provides a fresh and unique experience with each class. She hopes to inspire her students to transfer their practice from the mat to their everyday life.
Madison’s yoga story began in 2016 when a friend invited her to a yoga class. She immediately fell in love with the mystical experience of her breath connected to movement. She then began her own daily yoga practice. Each day was focused on the practice of connecting to the healing power, the reduction of stress, and the empowerment she felt on her mat. She began sharing her practice to her community as often as possible.
Motivated to spread love and light, she found herself encouraging others to experience a mind and body connection. In 2021, she jumped at the opportunity to deepen her practice by enrolling in a YT-200Hr program at Asheville Yoga Center where she received her teaching certification.
Since then, Madison has been teaching private and group classes on her farm in Gray Court, SC and now at The Haven! Madison loves connecting with people and the Earth. She believes that through the practice of yoga and daily life we should seek to learn from not only each other, but nature- our best teacher. Her hope is to share the magic of yoga and help others embrace their divine bodies, feel connected, and nurtured without judgment. Madison continues to seek training opportunities, read books that support personal development and tending to her own spiritual garden.
Maria's teaching is a surprising mix of diverse techniques that support your well being, wholeness and your mission in life. She weaves in breath and energy practices, synchronized with the astronomy of the day to create a well rounded and calming experience.
Maria's personal journey in Yoga started 20 years ago. She got her first certification in 2018 and has enriched her training with Kundalini, Yin, Trauma informed Yoga, Yoga for Mental Health.
Off the mat, Maria is a full time Accountant. She loves gardening, hiking and swimming in the lakes and oceans of this planet. Maria is originally from Bulgaria and the rich history and background of this country permeates into all facets of her life to bring depth in perception and rich life experiences.
Rita's journey to yoga started 15 years ago when she was asked to teach Yoga as the yoga teacher had not shown up. Bringing to memory the yoga class I took in Mumbai, India many moons ago, she was able to guide the students to an hour of yoga. This brought a realization that Yoga was what she wanted to focus on. She started her certification through YogaFit and then completed it with Yoga Journey in 2015. Like the Constant Gardner, she is the constant yogi, learning with every class, then filtering her learnings into her teaching techniques highlighting the details of the asanas.
Her style and teaching preference comes from the students/clients, and hence each class is different as I tune into the yogis in class and take in their mood and the time of day. Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Sculpt/Yoga Tone. All levels of flow with emphasis on posture and attention to alignment. Hands on assist when needed and challenging to step up a level by coming out of their comfort zone. Always learning and sharing the learning.

A Greenville native, JP Freeman, discovered yoga in 2020, initially as a complement to his boxing practice. Captivated by the inner balance it brought, he quickly dedicated himself to the path, becoming a 200-hour RYT within a year. His passion led him to India, where he expanded his training to 700 hours.
Now back home, JP blends Western and Eastern approaches in his teaching. His classes offer a unique mix of physical challenge and spiritual growth, reflecting his diverse background. As both teacher and eternal student, JP's goal is to share knowledge that fosters personal development, supporting those eager to grow. In his sessions, students find a space where strength and serenity coexist, encouraging each individual to explore their full potential.
